57cm Twin Six Standard Rando gravel bike

Greetings,

I'm selling my beloved Twin Six Standard Rando that I've owned since September 2017. I love this thing so much, but I'm currently funding my first fully custom bike, so it's time to pass this bike on to someone else who will get just as much pleasure out of riding it as I have. The Standard Rando has been my magic carpet, ferrying me through woods and field, through rain and snow, up mountains and down city streets, commuting or on overnight rides. This was my only bike while I lived overseas in Germany, and has seen everything from Belgian cobbles to Black Forest trails to NYC streets (see pics of the bike in the wild). Plus, these Standard Randos are fairly uncommon compared to all the All-City and Surly bikes I see. With the orange color and matching painted fenders, people constantly fawn over the bike.

The bike is immensely capable and fast over all terrains. The frame and fork have eyelets to allow for front and rear racks, along with a third bottle cage mount on the bottom of the downtube. Unlike the newer V2 Standard Rando that Twin Six recently released, this version has quick-release dropouts and a non-tapered headtube; the former is more practical for actual touring (easier to replace a wheel in an emergency) and the latter makes for a more compliant ride. The frame can also be converted to 2X front gearing and single speed (SS rear drop-out is included in sale, along with some spare 650b tubes and a few other oddments).

I would say that the condition is fairly good. While I've taken care of the bike and never locked it outside overnight ever, it has done duty as a daily driver and general use commuter, so it has nicks and dings throughout in the paint. While there are no dents on the frame or fork, the rear fender has some dents (see pic).

The bike has had a professional brake bleed and pad replacement, and I cleaned and regreased the bottom bracket, hubs and installed new tires and bar tape, which will all remain fresh and unused for its new owner. The chain also has less than 100 miles on it.

It's been upgraded fairly extensively from stock. Here's the current part list:
- SRAM Rival Hydro shifters/calipers
- SRAM Rival 1 Type 3.0 Long Cage Rear Derailleur
- SRAM XG-1150 11 Speed 10-42T Cassette
- SRAM Rival 1 172.4 crankset
- Thomson X2 110mm stem (I have a 120mm available, too)
- Chris King Aheadset
- AbsoluteBLACK 38t chainring
- WheelsMfg Threaded PF30 bottom bracket (no creaking!)
- Generic zero setback carbon seatpost
- Crank Brothers Step 1 platform pedals
- Ritchey EvoMax WCS 44cm handlebars
- Velocity Aileron 650b wheelset
- New WTB Horizon 47c tires
- SKS mudflaps (the rear could use replacing)
- Velox rubber bar plugs

Note: Brooks saddle pictured is not included in sale.

$1500 + shipping

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!
