Chocolate milk after the ride. Then an Odwalla Superfood bar.

Supposedly have 2000 calories left for the day, jeez. Shouldn't need all of that I hope.

Just made a double batch. YUM!

The bad news is that this goes against the weight loss regimen.

The good news is that last weigh-in showed 189 lbs so things are tending in the right direction and may be a bit ahead of schedule.

The reality of the weigh-in is that I'm probably a little dehydrated right now. It has been hot and humid the last few days, even for us Floridians. In the late afternoon I did an upper Zone 2 ride for 1 hr and 40 minutes and felt great until I stopped. After that I kept sweating and sweating and sweating ...

I've been home for 45 minutes, showered, grated the P-cheese for Gary's pesto, washed the basil I bought yesterday at the local farmer's market, poured all the ingredients into a Cuisinart, blended to perfection, tasted ambrosia, used a tiny spatula to get every last bit of goodness into a container, licked the spatula, started posting on BF, and I'm still sweating.

It is hot and humid here.

Making one of my favorite concoctions:

2 cups greens (today is mustard)
1/2 cup chopped okra
1 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 chopped onion
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
teaspoon of garlic
hot sauce to taste

boil down greens for 5 minutes, throw rest in, turn to low to medium heat for 15 minutes, eat.

Can you explain to me why we can get "off" varieties of Leine at Publix, but we can't get "Red"?

Two crispy wafers with creme filling - so simple, so deadly.

I can't tell you the last time I had an Oreo.

Vanilla cremes, now that's different.

I think that a fresh quart wouldn't go bad in my house with one bike racer in training and two teen-aged boys. The spousal-unit also enjoys pesto so we even have that going on.

Maybe we will try it tonight over linguine. If not, then tomorrow for sure.

I once lived in a communal household where the meals were bought and prepared on an equally shared basis. The constant subject of argument was over the desserts and snacks. It got to the point where chips and cookies were limited to one serving of each per person per day. Chips were a small bowl full and cookies were 2 a day. Yes, I said 2!

We were all skinny, so...
