Addiction 2021.1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sadly there's still no word on when Knoxville Community Band will be brought back together.

Don't think it was. We were staying in town during an organized tour got a shuttle out to his parents' (Ludwig and Christina) homestead. They were among many "Germans from Russia" who came to the U.S. Many settled in a discrete area of ND. As corny as it may sound, it's actually a neat place.

Welk Homestead State Historic Site - State Historical Society of North Dakota (nd.gov)

The town of Wishek is known for its German-style sausage. The night we stayed there the entertainment was a polka band. Locals came from miles around to listen. That's considered high entertainment in rural ND.

It's too bad KCB can't perform there, we might get an actual audience.

Never saw one of them. Love the 2 rims welded together, heard of that for the early Iditabike.

2 keyboardists and 2 percussionists sharing bubbles, they better be from the same households!!!

I just got tubular at 68.5. I still haven't gone clipless. Except spd, briefly, in the mid nineties. During my spandex phase.

I've never tried tubulars. I entered my spandex phase in about 1986 and I'm still in it. Clipless since about 1988.

I did another testing of the waters ride. It was painful. Highly doubt I'll ride tomorrow. Just got done with my stretching.

I rode with bibs and looked down while riding and was shocked how skinny my legs are. No massive guads if you aren't using them.
