Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Changed the oil in the boat diesel today. Not my favorite job. The nominal capacity I’d 5.7 liters, but I hardly manage to suck 4 out of the thing. Oh well, it keeps running.

Went out to the garage and was greeted with grease spots on the floor and wall and the unmistakable smell of liberally applied WD-40.

Yeah, not happy with my son right now.

Just because of the WD-40 everywhere, or did he "fix" your bike or something like that?

My bikes aren't out there - he just sprayed it all over the place.

Today's activities.
Lunch was chicken and waffles and home fries. Very good. Then shopping but no skechers were purchased despite trying 3 pairs. Did get a couple shirts for $20 at a store going belly up.

Is that the one that was going to go to make room for some kind of entertainment complex?

Either, way cool... The Nationals are on my bucket list. I think this is still true, but it's the only track with its own zip code.

Maybe. It’s still pretty light out, not sure we will see much.

Who doesn't want to eat a lot of dust thrown up from the rails by passing freight trains?
