Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What is interesting is that Pittsburgh and Wake Forest lead the ACC.

In a general non-stalkable way, remind me where abouts you live and what you do. As for your post, I concur wholeheartedly.

I live in or close enough to Detroit MI. I work at a gas utility Co. that I won't name. I work in the Pressure dept. as Tool Man (insert off color joke here, ). But when I want o.t. I have to go back in the field and perform regular maintenance work.

Thanks for refreshing my memory. I'm old or I would have remembered that you lived in Michigan.

Wedding was really good but music was too loud.

Went for a little walk this morning and saw a ghost bike. I am afraid in DC that bike injuries are common. I have seen very aggressive and dangerous moves by motorists.

Just spent several hours emptying out the kitchen cabinets because the spouse wants to have them painted. They are already a perfectly acceptable shade of brown. Can't wait till I get to put it all back in.

My college commuter*. 1990 Ford Festiva with a 5 speed manual. Probably paid around $6k, new. I lived 40 miles or so from school. Very reliable. Good gas mileage.

* Not my actual car, but this is how it looked

I worked at a GMC dealer in 1993 and I bought a new full-size pick up for $11.500.

Leads one to wonder who, in fact, is actually the LSS.

We tend to lean toward a more contemporary style, but our house is pretty traditional. So we go more with abstract art, and for the most part all original. It's either something we found on trips, or local artists. None of it was very expensive.

We have two by the artist you find interesting.

Couple other things from local artists that you'll find "interesting" -
