R1, I noticed the zip ties on the crank arm. I assume it's to hold a cadence magnet? If so, have you considered one of the ones that attaches to the pedal spindle, mine has over 4000 miles on it and has never come loose. This assumes you have a spindle that it would attach to (I use DA pedals).
Beautiful bike!
Beautiful bike!
I've tried the one that sticks to the spindle, the rare earth magnet.
it was giving me major issues, so I switched back. Plus my spindles are titanium so they wouldn't stick I had to use a dab of silicon.

Actually the smart is a carbio. So it has a hitch and carries the kayaks on a rack and roll trailer. That also goes for the fiat 500 and audi TT. Here is Max, the smart car with the trailer, two kayaks and two bikes (under the cover) on his way to his new home in FL from Maine a couple of years ago… stop off at in-laws in CT.

I really like the fit and ride of the Domane, proved the importance of proper research since I was on the Ridley frame for a few months and just could not get it to fit properly (shame I loved that bike).
For the November's which anyone on this thread can appreciate , this is my second set. For me these guys are the sweet spot, I'm not willing to gamble on generic carbon, and not willing to pay $2k for some of the other proven brands. Dave and Mike run a stellar business IMO, good QC, good engineering in the case of the Rail's, impeccable wheel building quality and very reasonable prices. An added benefit given my recent change from the RFSC 38's to the Rail's that I probably would not have seen with some other wheels was that with their reputation for quality I was able to sell my RFSC's for almost $1k (with Chris King hubs) after a year of use and about 3000 miles. They were in perfect shape and the buyer really wanted those particular wheels. Obviously I highly recommend their products. Actual performance of the Rail's is great, super stiff, smooth and comfortable given the wide braking track and my 25c tire. I plan to set them up for tubeless operation once these tires wear out.

here's my 2011 tcr advanced. the only mods i have done are changing out the stem and the bars to a 70mm and zipp aero carbon bars as well as changing all of the cables out to teflon coated cables and boy what a night and day difference they make! i also change the cassette to an ultegra 11-28 and swap the bar tape out constantly between white and green depending on which tires are on it.

Finally got it Extremely happy with it. Exceeded my expectations. It is a what I would consider my ideal build in terms of practicality.
* 2013 Giant TCR Advanced SL ISP Rabobank
* 2014 Shimano Dura Ace 9000
* 2014 Enve SES Smart 3.4 with Powertap G3 hub
* Speedplay Zero Chro-mo (soon to be replaced by stainless)
* Specialized Toupe Pro 155mm
* 42cm Giant Contact SLR Carbon Handlebar
* 2013 Giant Contact SLR Stem 100mm
* Fizik Microtex 3mm bar tape
* Michelin Pro4 Service Course 23mm
* K edge GPS Holder
Total package comes in @ 15.88#s. A bit heavier than expected but it rides like nothing I've ever ridden. The bike is PURRRRFECT (for me of course).

That's an amazing piece of bicycle rolling-art work I'm sure that it cost more than my first house… or least my first new car. Enjoy the ride.

I'm glad you went with this over the Venge, you'll be happier in the long run once you start racing this beauty.

I am speechless at how good the bike is. I am sooo glad I did too
It doesn't show for Speedplay in their website though. That's a good idea gonna go all weight weenie!
Thanks! THey had to chop it but it is on the high side so I am on testing phase trying to see if it needs any more adjustment. Right now it is setup like the roubaix.

Nice Defy.
It has strong potential to be hot!
Consider a nice wheelset to upgrade the 22's, while they are bulletproof, they're known as heavyweights.
Clipless pedals, go a long way. Sure theres 2 side ofnthis story, but not having them is not an option in my opinion.
They go hand in hand much like owning bibs.

What size?
I only ask because it looks like you had to cut off a big chunk of the ISP, I had to do the same with mine, I'm considering going from M -> S with my next one.
Nice bike by the way!
