can bike frames paired with boxes of designated parts count as actual bikes? how about time travelling bikes that aren't actually mine yet, but someday will be, even though current owners are under the misbegotten impression that they will never sell them?

At the moment, my husband has more bikes than I do, mostly because I keep finding deals that cannot be passed up. The deal is, we buy it, we must ride it. Just today he got to ride the newest find, something I found while we were on vacation. '87 Miami Vice Ironman. We have been riding together since we were 12, so it is very much a mutual passion!
