Some really nice yellow bikes here.

Still a frameset, and still in transit..... placekeeper, as I expect to finish it this month....

Drop bar conversion; hasn't seen a lot of saddle time since Spring (Cannondale Criterium project and newly acquired Proflex have been stealing time from the rest of the stable).

Some real beauties.

All I have for this month is "Crayola", the 1977 Raleigh Team Professional that Dr. Deltron repainted for me several years back. This was taken before I changed out the crankset - which wasn't spinning in a consistent plane.

Project bike that passed through my hands a few years ago I called Mello Yellow, parts from a curb find Raleigh Grand Prix with a front crash damaged frame and the frame from Bike Works co-op in Seattle.

I see yellow bikes in every color from beige to green, so here's my yellow gold Peugeot, fresh off CL. Nice riding bike.

1988 Centurion Lemans picked up off CL in February 2018. I ride it 4-5 times a week on the Burke Gillman through Seattle, Kenmore and Bothell. This photo was taken on one of the bridges that cross the Sammamish Slough in Bothell Washington. Since this photo was taken, I've swapped a 28 tooth for the original 26. Now I can go up a few little hills without falling over. Are yellow bikes faster than the other colors?

I've heard that the yellow RB-1's are faster than the red ones.

Early Roberts with my early (1986) gold Volvo 744.

Here is my yellow (with a little OEW) fade Roberts tourer (frame # 404) built by Charlie Roberts circa 1974. It came to me in a roundabout way from a family friend. He bought it new and it received an upgrade (130mm rear end and 2 x bidon bosses) and the fade paint in the 1980s.

Currently with a mix of period and later componentry, e.g -

Stronglight 100 chainset (triple)
Shimano Deerhead RD
Deore FD
Shimano 105 gearlevers
Miche hubs laced to Mavic MA3s (36h)
Ofmega headset
SR Randonneur handlebar
Unbranded stem
Unbranded seatpost
Brookes Professional (Copper)
Shimano SLR brake levers and Deore cantilevers.
Campanolo Chrorus pedals
Tyres are currently Panaracer Tour (700x28)
Currently mulling over what mudguards/fenders to fit
Ditto bartape.

This is a rare example of an early Roberts.

John

Neither C nor V, really, but here's my Van Dessel Super Fly. It sounds dumb, but this was a grail bike for me, and I absolutely love it -- even the ugly-a$$ stem and bars.

1978 Jack Taylor "Tourist" model. Original owner bought the bike from Holland Jones of Fulton St. Cyclery in the Bay Area, and rode the bright yellow bike all the way from San Francisco to Miami Florida. The bike is still an attention-getter 40 years later, and the Taylor touring racks can also carry a ton of groceries!

When my Bob Jackson was new, it was yellow with white banding and a white head tube. The lugs were outlined in purple.

After many years of abuse,... err,... no, I mean, after many years of use, I had it repainted solid red.

Yes, it now goes faster than it ever did before.

Not mine, but I'm currently working on this Fisher X-Caliber for a friend, so it is in the house. Disc brakes are kind to those kickin' yellow rims.
