I noticed that... not that the Secret Service are wearing helmets either.

Where is that killer dog, Major?

Wears a helmet, without doing up the retention step. So it's there purely for image purposes, hmm I wonder if there is theme here.

President Joe looks a bit more comfortable on his bike than this fellow:

If you try to chase George W. up a mountain bike trail, he will drop you like a bomb over Iraq:

Jimmy Carter rode a Rivendell. Of course he did:

It was Doctor Jill's 70th birthday ride.

First couple looks quite happy:

She's riding a Trek. My best guess is it's an FX1. I don't know what he's riding. Both have their helmet straps tightened, which probably makes the Ayn Rand acolyte who posted above sad.

Honestly, we get way too much political commentary (like the helmet strap bull____) on "normal" media. I totally don't need it on BF, especially when not corralled into whatever secret Dark Pedaling portion of BF exists for that function.

I do think the SS should tell him to put his (and their own) helmet on right (including proper strap tension) as part of their protection service. But it is not fricking politics.

Looks like President Joe has a Trek FX, too; I can't tell the model. No clipless pedals/shoes, just using flats and joggers. And the reflectors are still on the wheels' spokes on both bikes!

I'll bet there's a gym in the White House with a stationary bicycle or two in it, but its always nice to get outdoors for a ride whenever possible.
