Any value in old dried bike paint

I was thinking of all of the former Schwinn dealers across the country and the parts stashes that may be there. Okay, parts are probably gone, but what about touch-up paint? Every dealer I knew had a few tubes of paint to fix the dings and scratches from shipping and handling.
Most paint is pigment and solvent - some paint adds hardeners or catalysts - probably not the case in touch-up. My thinking is that old dried up tubes of touch-up paint can be rejuvinated by the application of the original solvent. Am I way off base?

Not nearly as much as vintage dried bike paint:-)

Seriously, I don't see an upside here. I would not spend a moment of my time on such a project, but that is just me. Of course, if it really is vintage...

If the guys from American Pickers came across an old Schwinn parts stash, I'd think they would buy a few pedals and bar grips and toss any touchup paint back on the pile.

just because *you* might not be interested in paints (or insert any random parts/tools/items), doesn't mean that other people feel the same way. i learned that long ago when buying parts stashes and flipping stuff. sometimes i am amazed at what i sell a part for, that i initially thought "who on earth would want this thing???"
Schwinn collectors are a peculiar bunch.
Actually, I totally agree with this. A point well taken.

Perfect sense. One man's junk is another man's treasure as they say.
