Zizzo Liberte’, My First Folder
Yesterday I purchased a Zizzo Liberte’ for a very good deal. I would call it “Very Good Condition “ with a few minor scratches, with everything there and working perfectly. I rode it about 2 miles today and it was very comfortable with a sporty and agile feel. The original tires were in like new condition and delivered a comfortable ride at 100psi

Carbon copy of the Vitesse frame design, one of his best, imo. A great choice. And from all I've seen and read, they're doing it well. Zizzo ought to pay him royalties though, or at least give him credit. It's less than 20 years old, I think.

Please don't start the clone/patent argument. These bikes are all based on similar frame designs, and all have differing quality parts. The royalty and credit comments are ridiculous at this point. Let the OP enjoy his ride, without the unnecessary drama.

I would like a more attractive crankset and a wider range rear cassette. A different type of shifter and some ergonomic grips would help too.
What is the best pathway to lose a little weight? Could I get this less than 20 pounds?
Its always a slippery slope.

I'm not about cutting weight, so I'd just see about wheelsets, tires, pedals, and possibly upgrading the drivetrain. It's all about what you're interested in upgrading.

One thing I would be interested in is a one piece stem if I could get one long enough to fold. I notice their are also right hand, outside folding one piece stem. Do the stems advertised on Ali Express fit the Zizzo Liberte headset?
I’m somewhat too big for the Zizzo and a less flexible stem would be welcome.
I want to carefully consider that further investments in the Liberte result in actual improvements. Right now I only have $100 in it.

These will fit. I have the outside folding stem from here on a bike or 2. And this is where I also ordered from: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32568...andl_shipto=US

I think the wheelset is no longer available.
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/22518...andl_shipto=US
but you can browse around the same seller store see there's other similar wheelset. Or just ask the seller. Remember the wheelset has weight limit. I'm 150# so I'm ok. If you're on the heavy side may not be ideal for you. I managed to get my Liberte down to around 20# or so last year. But i put on some weight later to accommodate the ebike kit.
