1/2" clipless pedals???
Does anyone know if you can get 1/2" clipless pedals? It would be for a stationary bike. Thanks!

You should be able to have the holes retapped in the crank arms to the larger size. A good bike shop should have the taps available.

Here's the adapter Roger was talking about: https://www.kneesaver.net/ . Note that they will spread your feet apart by about an inch on each side. This works for some people, not others.
I seem to recall a 1/2" thread Wellgo pedal that accepted their add-on clipless mechanism: https://www.biketoolsetc.com/index.cg...item_id=WO-QBS
I can't find it now- maybe Bike Tools Etc. knows.

Wellgo used to sell "bolt-on" SPD mechanisms that fit their BMX platform pedals. They would fit on a 9/16" or a 1/2" pedal. I've done a quick search for them, but I don't see them on eBay or in any of the online stores. We had 4 sets of them at my former shop, but I think I sold the last one before I left.

Nope- running a 9/16" tap through most one-piece cranks will leave little or no material left on the crank.

I know this is an ancient thread, but I check in on it every few years to see if anyone has found a solution...Also worth noting: when you Google 1/2" SPD pedals, this thread is one of the top hits.
Anyway, I saw a Venzo kit on Amazon recently and I'm wondering if it might be a possible alternative. I've never seen a product like this offered before, though someone mentioned a similar product on this thread a decade or two ago. They would likely require some custom fabrication to get the correct mounting holes onto your 1/2" pedal.
Search for the Venzo kit on Amazon by using this ASIN: B08CGQ7G3P . (I am locked out from posting URLs until I make 9 more posts. Sigh.)
A better solution might be to buy a 9/16 pedal and swap the axle, but the trick would be finding a clipless pedal and a similar 1/2" pedal that use the same (except for the threads!!!) axle.

It's always interesting to find this topic re-emerge! These pedals are like unicorns, but they do turn up if rarely these days.
There were 1/2" clipless pedals made by Wellgo and sold for a couple of "transitional" years, back around year 2000 or so.
Variously sold under the Wellgo and Bulletproof brands, available in silver, red and black (I have all three now on my hard-ridden Schwinns). I believe that Redline may have offered a different-styled version as well.

Go to Wally Mart, Buy a set of their cheap pedals, They come with the adapters so the 9/16 pedal will screw into a 1/2 crank. Throw the plastic pedal away, use the adapter with whatever clipless pedal you like.
