Is this called a Headset Cover and how do I straighten it?

Two of my bikes have carbon frames with some kind of decorative bit on the headset. It turns with the handlebars, steerer, and fork, and the cables route through it. This is on a 2022 Trek Checkpoint SL 5, but I have a similar thing on my 2021 Trek Emonda SL 5. This one is noticeably crooked, and that got me looking at the Emonda, and it's not perfectly straight either. I didn't even know what to call it, but a bit of Googling suggested it might be called a "headset cover".

What do I have to do to straighten it? ("Steer a little to the right" is not the answer I'm looking for.)

This may help. Scroll to page 10. TK_CheckpointSL-SLR_MY22_ServiceManual.Mar2022.pdf (windows.net) Trek may provide another manual with complete instructions as well but I didn't search that far. Also try YouTube.

Push it from the right til it's straight. Seriously. If it won't move w/ reasonable force loosen the 2 stem clamp bolts, loosen the top cap bolt a bit then straighten it and readjust your headset and tighten stem bolts.

Oh. That service manual names the part a "headset routing cap".
