Favorite cycling films

Other than breaking away. What are some of your favorite cycling films? One of mine that most people don't know about is 2 seconds https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Cuzc2RxhAwk it's about an ex pro downhill mountain biker, the bike shop owner is such a good character. The creators obviously really loved cycling.

another classic is Lucas Brunelles Line of Sight showcasing some of the most skilled urban cyclists in the world. https://m.pinkbike.com/video/299661/

My favorite cycling film is getting kind of long in the tooth now but it's still Breaking Away.

OMG, I thought I was the only one that knew about “2 secondes”! Sometimes I think it was just a fever dream.

Another Canadian cycling film, though much less cheery, is “Downfall of a Champion” (original title La Petite reine). I also liked “Tour de Force” (original title La Grande boucle).

“Tour de Pharmacy” is worth it if only for the cheetah/cheater joke. And I’ll always watch “Premium Rush” if it’s on TV. Don’t judge me!

apart from the obvious Breaking Away (the greatest fictional story IMO) and American Flyers, good cycling movies are few and far between. I’ll add The Program to the list, mainly for Chris O’Dowd as the reporter David Walsh, Lance’s most vocal skeptic. A Sunday In Hell is also pretty good

You're right. It IS tragic.

My all-time favorites are Breaking Away, The Flying Scotsman and Pee Wee's Big Adventure:

There's also a worldwide Bicycle Film Festival:

My brother was running a ski shop at Mammoth and rode the amateur Kamikaze one year. He was out of control with a leg out to the side of the bike while wearing sweats that said ATO on the leg. Someone got a picture of it and he ended up on the cover of the ATO calendar.

I've skied Mammoth Mountain, but never rode a bike down it.

Fictional story, inspired by a true story. David Blase did win the Little 500 solo with feet taped to the pedals, he did draft trucks down I-35, he did obsess over Italian cyclists when nobody in America knew they existed. He actually had two small parts in the movie: race announcer, and the last Cinzano rider dropped in the road race.

That's ME in the blue helmet just over Matteo Simoni's left shoulder! I was one of the "cyclist extras", Team Lascale #22, got to ride just behind the two main teams (Austrange and Settosa). Was such a fun experience.

RAD!

RAD is my favorite all time bike movie. Yes, it’s BMX, but man that movie has so much nostalgia for me.
