Show Your De Rosa!

It doesn't get much sweeter than an Ugo...let them shine!

My orange beauty - with a little patina, but still sharp!

I'll be here all week.

Here's my wife's De Rosa Primato.

She loves it you guys. She gets so many positive comments on her group rides!

Raced in four sprint tri's this summer, and she reports her goal for next year is a 22 mph average on the ride portion!

Here's the one I posted in a separate thread a few days ago.

Year: 1980. Color: "Ambrosio." (thanks Caterham!)

Coincidentally, rims are also Ambrosio, laced to C-record hubs.

I've put a couple hundred miles on it since acquisition a couple weeks ago. Ride characteristics are, in a word, ideal.

What a beauty. No worries on DA. I have 7400 series on one of mine and it is still my favorite ride by far!

It is, and I've ridden a 54cm De Rosa. I liked it. If you want to sell it, pm me with the details. If you want to sell just the frame set, even better.

Sorry I ruined everyone's jokes by changing the title. The easiest way to get a thread title changed is to report a post in the thread
There is a little triangle with an exclamation mark at the bottom of every post in the thread. Don't be afraid to use it.

i love it too but.......athena on a de rosa professional?? i think thats even worse than my dura ace equipped one. super record, nuovo record, or c record are the only appropriate groups for an 80s de rosa pro.....correct me if im wrong

Joe, I'd happily put on a Super Record 11 group. Wanna buy it for me? As far as what's "acceptable" on a De Rosa Pro, all I know is that the Athena 11 is acceptable on MY De Rosa Pro. What can I say, I'm a sacrilegious, blaspheming, philistine.

I'd have zero issues putting on Athena.

2009 Centaur with alloy shifters would be my first choice though. I love the way it performs and the "look" is just right to my eyes.

Really Joe, it's a best of both worlds issue. You get the sweet ride of the De Rosa frameset along with the incredible performance for the dollar spent on the new Campy components.

In the world of C&V, it certainly may go against the grain.

On the road though, its very hard to beat.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the period correct Campy components then, it just wouldn't be my first choice either.

imho

Very nice bikes so far, let's keep'em coming.

I'll add another one in a day or two.
