I wash and wax my bike every 2 or 3 rides, touch up any scratches. I like working on stuff almost as much as riding it. Nice set up OP.
ETA. I have the same seat on one of my bikes. Good saddle

Are those just gravelking slicks on the kinesis? How much snow do you tackle with them? I'll be mounting up the SK's in 650b soon.
Probably pull my 29er out and get it ready -- spent all last winter on a treadmill. Don't think I can use the treadmill consistently this winter without something else to spice up the exercise routine.

What?! Where are you that the snow ain’t stuck yet? Here in Ann Arbor, we just got another inch or two on top of what we got the other day! I wouldn’t be surprised if it melts off before spring, of course, but I’d call it legit winter snow!
I hear you on the temptations, though… I nearly pulled the trigger on a pair of King Manythings fork racks in pink anodize the other day, and I’m waiting for some new carpet and other interior bits for a winter garage project for the Fiat.

I’ve got a Sprint cam, dual downdraft carbs, and an Ansa exhaust, but yeah, otherwise stock. I’ve thought about Euro-spec bumpers, but my in-laws purchased the car new, so I feel an obligation to maintain it in pretty much original condition. I mooted a CF hood to my wife, but she doesn’t like the racer look. I think your brother’s looks cool though!, especially with the shaved bumpers and uprated wheels!

They are, yes. How much snow I’ll ride them in depends on the type of snow, but generally I only ride it if the roads are clear. Some fluffy freshfall is no big deal, nor is a little slush, as the tires knife through that to the pavement.

Maybe don’t ride *all* of them…?!
Back in spring, I sold my trusty commuter of sixteen years…I don’t recall why, exactly, but it was dumb, as the bike was perfectly set up for MI winter rides, and was well past the point that I much cared whether I trashed the drivetrain with salty slurry and grime. That said, I always had a garage to thaw the bike in, and all the bits lasted really long. It was still on original derailleurs, and I think I only changed chain and cassette a couple of times in that period, yet it ran and shifted great. In fact, the guy I sold it to actually said he couldn’t believe I was selling it for $500 and thought I could get a lot more! It was an ‘04 Novara Buzz I paid $650 for new!

other painted bikes which are not quite so sensitive, perhaps because of paint quality or color, or perhaps because the bright bits aren't quite as bright and shiny as these are. I picked Campagnolo Athena Carbon, with its bright silver brakes and derailleurs and carbon fiber crankset, to complement the juxtaposition of modern and classic design elements in the frameset, but I’m a long time fan of Campagnolo’s famously jewel-like, silver finishes anyway.
In any case, I do ride it in the rain, but my maintenance habits, combined with the component quality and durability, seems to allow the bike to take it. It’s coming up on nine years old in a couple of months, and I think it still looks pretty good. There are two good-size chips on the seattube from a downhill crash with another bike…in the rain. One of these days, I’ll try to find an automotive touch-up paint that kinda matches and try to make it look a little better.
