Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Doubtful you'd ride the main roads here during daylight, much less at night. That's cray cray.

I've always felt safe riding at night. Light up bands on my arms and legs, bright rear lights, and a good headling. If they can't see me, they shouldn't be driving. That, of course, is a whole 'nuther conundrum though.

I'm guessing your roads (that you'd do at night) are straighter, flatter than here.

if you had a proper light it wouldn't be dangerous. They're cheap and work very well. I've been trying to tell you but you won't listen. SMH

I sometimes feel safer at night. Except party nights. MUPs and trails only on Fri and Sat nights.

It's a miracle that you ever leave your house.

There's a pear tree in the rjones28 orchard. It doesn't have a very high yield.

Depends on where you are. Riding at night at home I feel very safe as long as I avoid Monticello, and the colonial parkway ( serial killer).

Riding at night here in Irving. Guaranteed GSW, followed by repeatedly being run over by cars.

I don’t know if they second statement is true, but I would hate to be proven right.

Ultegra groupset for the Habanero. Plan to rebuild it this winter. Wheels ordered from Psimet. Will strip frame completely, power-wash, and build up. Likely will keep cockpit unless bars corroded. Will also keep current seatpost and saddle.

The 58 madone comes with 175 mm cranks.

As far as I know all of my bikes are 172.5 mm.

Is this something that is going to be noticeable?

If the silver and red 56 is still there I might be able to switch them, Waiting for them to order a set would take longer than what my patience would allow. (monthS)
