Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Near the summit of Biokovo mountain, starting from sea level to 1765m of elevation, it's the biggest climb in Croatia.

Nice - my wife and I thought about doing something similar in Switzerland and ran out of time (we got serious about it after we got there). That had to have been a great trip.

well that explains the missing photos. totally missed the date. the train was just outside viginia city, nv. the train runs on part of the remaining viginia and truckee (V&T) railroad. now it only runs from VC to carson city and back.

saw this on my way home and was getting the itch for it...needless to say it was a good ride that day.

First pic is at the mid-point up a local route named Super Flag, a pretty nasty climb above Boulder, Colorado. The second at the top of one of the Front Range foothills named Lookout Mountain.
