I wish that some one on the forum that is well off would buy me an Azub folding 26 TiFly, since you asked.

I didn't read the entire list, but I didn't see coal. Coal is the best I can hope for.

Got my first road bike.
2023 Trek Domane SL6 Di2

Unfortunately, I ran across the term "chain suck", which I'd never heard of or experienced on a mountain bike, so now I'm fretting about that.

Giving serious thought to putting a GRX 1x crank, derailleur, and cassette, on there so I don't have to worry about it as much.

I bought myself a new all black front wheel to match the rear one I had to buy this year when my original one cracked.

Curious way to resolve something that isn't actually an issue.
Chain suck should happen basically never on a new and properly set up bike.

I hope you're right!
When I first stumbled upon it on the web I did a Google search, which made it seem like it is a widespread problem with potentially catastrophic results.
I ran across a few posts were it happened on brand new Trek's so that doesn't help put my mind at ease 😂.

I've never ridden anything other than a 1x crank so I'll admit the prospect of grenading a $5000.00 bike has me a bit spooked.

I've never had a problem with chain suck in 30+ years of riding (hint: if you drop your chain, STOP PEDALING), but if it really worries you then get a third eye chain watcher or similar. There are several products to stop your chain from falling off (on the inside). Even the pros use them at times - e.g. during Paris-Roubaix.

Those Wera wrenches are really nice; asked for those (and received them) a couple years ago. Does that make me a "thought leader?"

Thank you for the detailed reply, along with everyone else who chimed in giving a new road rider some encouragement!

A little update. I returned the Domane and purchased a Lynskey Helix with Sram Force AXS, that should arrive around the third week of January.

I gotta say, the Trek owned shop has the best customer service and employees that I've ever encountered in the bike industry, so they earned themselves another bike purchase (for my daughters).
I'll also be using their Carbon Aeolus Pro wheels on the Lynskey, as well as moving my service needs for all my bikes to them since excellent customer service deserves as much business as I can throw their way.

I've had a Di2 11-speed double since 2014 and never experienced even a bad shift, let alone chain suck. Maybe it is different for 12-speed Di2? If so, I have never heard about it before.

Chain suck could also happen with a 1X.

The beauty of Di2 is you get a perfect shift, every time. Keep your drive-train clean, and the rest should take care of itself.

Here is your reading assignment: https://bettershifting.com/12-speed-di2-new-user-guide/
