FYI - pictures of bikes should always be drive side. It looks like it turned out nice - you'll probably ride the hell out of it and it will serve you well, possibly forever.

@rje58_too that looks good. A picture in the woods - nice. Time and money well spent. With some routine maintenance this bike could last a lifetime.

Here's my original Trek 800 Antelope just before I sold it after picking up a 1999 Peugeot Mtn. bike that was in fantastic shape. I'm embarrassed to say it was well neglected over the years.

I finally got a chance to do some more trail riding and I found out two things: I -really- do like the Antelope 800, and trail riding kicks my butt! Climbing hills on the trails seems exponentially harder than on asphalt... maybe I'm just old.

I bought one of these a few years ago for $25 from some rich kid who wanted something fancy. I have used it as my burning man bike for 5 trips to the desert and it is my go too bike for riding around the neighborhood. It has morphed frequently as my tastes have changed at one time having fenders, then a huge sissy bar and ape hanger bars. I have changed to Sunrace friction thumbies which I love and which never go out of adjustment. other then changing out the rear derailleur to a Deore long cage I haven't had to do amything other than regrease the bearings every few years( Burningman eats bearings). I have street tires on it and front and rear racks plus Rocky, my stuffed racoon riding on the front rack. I am a happy chappie.
