Want I switch to tubeless, and my wife got me the syringe and sealant for Christmas. Was simply going to pull the tubes and put sealant into the tires (and install the stems) as I thought my current tires were tubeless ready.
Guess what I discovered?

Theres only one option if you go tubeless - you won’t be able to use tubes.

I just remembered I lived a few months in a place in Portland with shared bathrooms AND shared kitchen. I never cooked anything in the kitchen, but the bathroom wasn't bad. Cool old building bullt in the '20s, awesome 15' high ceilings, AMAZING views of the city from my 4th floor windows, one block off of swingin' NW 23rd Ave. $800 a month in the mid-90s, when people outside of downtown were paying that for a 4-br house.
There was a killer pizza joint on the first floor! That's the only thing I would up not liking about the place. It ALWAYS reeked of pizza, and that just gets old after a couple weeks. Luckily a friend and I met some strippers and wound up going to the basement apartment of one of them, and she asked me to move in with her so I did that for a while.

Day four of sore throat, tired feeling, and congestion. Tired of it. Missed a perfect day to ride yesterday.

By contrast, I want a moat and a curtain wall, and in that sort of situation wouldn't mind a larder that could be supplied for a year or more and need nothing from the outside other than utilities for extended periods.

Hope you have better luck than me.
I was actually really enjoying myself. I absolutely love riding weekend mornings, very little traffic, almost zilch where I live. I was doing base miles so I kept my heart rate below 130. This allowed me to not overheat and sweat more.
My feet were just starting to get a little cold when I got the flat. Pulled out a piece of bone from my tire.
Changing a tire in below freezing temperatures has always been a big fear of mine. It’s up there with have to a take a poop while flying. I always assumed if it happened I would call someone to come get me. Today I had all the tools, changed the tire in record time. I couldn’t get the tire to properly seat for some reason. I tried multiple times, this one spot just wouldn’t go down. I started to reach for my phone to make the call, but I HTFU and got it done.
The 4 miles I had to ride after changing the tire were not enjoyable at all.

We did better. It was very breezy and temps stayed around 24-28 for the ride, but the sunshine helped and for most of the ride I had 4 friends to socialize with.

Time to go get football snacks. I'm thinking of doing up some chili cheese dip.
