Only 11 more teaching days before summer break for me, so I'm about to take a couple-month hiatus from this thread It is striking how much this thread has tanked since the onset of covid. Yeah, seems like it had started to wane before Covid, even. Just kinda sad, 'cause I remember the days when dozens of people were participating and we used to have those little fights when someone would make an update using an old post. I'd like to think a lot of them are still out there commuting, they've just re-evaluated whether they want to spend their time updating a thread on the Internet about it...

The pandemic forced me to start a second business causing my bicycle commuting to plummet. The time it takes now to run 2 businesses has cut into the time I would use to commute to just one business. I sure miss it but still ride a bike every day. Although, having said that, due to the busyness in my life June 9th 2022 was the first day in 11 years and exactly 5 months I missed a day riding a bike.

I was pretty bummed out I let that happen but I was so busy I forgot to do it and by the time I remembered I didn’t ride I wasn’t in a situation where I was going to be able to ride that day. I guess it was bound to happen at some point. It was a good run! I hope to beat that run someday and so far haven't missed a day in 17 days, off to a good start!
