Schrader inner tube on my Alexrims - is it possible

I'm unable to find any info on these rims. Currently there are Presta inner tubes.
Is it possible to change them to Schrader version which is in my opinion better because I can than pump my tire wherever I go (gas stations etc..)?

Since I'm not able to post photos, here is the info from the rim:
ALEXRIMS DISC
EX 30 6061 H
ERTRO 622x30
TUBELESS READY
FOR DISC USE ONLY

You can enlarge the valve hole with a hand reamer or a drill.

Bring a pump with you, and you won't have to hope there's a gas station nearby when you flat.

Yup, pump is useful, I even have one in my car for the car.

There is an adapter that you can screw onto a presta valve so that you can use a sschrader pump head. BITD we called it a chuck. Costs a couple of bucks. I always carry one with me when I tour.

Why throw away usable tubes just to go to schrader valves? For a buck or two, you can buy a presta to schrader valve adapter that screws on the presta valve so you can pump it up at a gas station. You can pick up a pair of them at WalMart for two bucks. I switched from schrader to presta valves years ago when I first got a decent bike. It's all personal preference but I would never go back.

No worries. You can buy Presta to Schrader adapters so you can use a gas station pump with prestas. I keep one of these on each bike "just in case".

https://www.amazon.com/Mobi-Lock-Brass-Presta-Adaptor/dp/B07TWXZBCM/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?keywords=presta+to+schrader+adapter&qid=1651155594&sr=8-4

You can also drill them out as has been mentioned. If you do you can still use Presta's if needed with a small adapter collar.

Is that the bicycling equivalent of "I don't like to keep my money in banks"? Presta valves are one of the most tried and true technologies in cycling, and yet you " somehow have aversion" towards them. Curious.

Keep in mind gas stations are designed for pumping very low pressure very high volume car tires. Not something I want to rely on and if it is an absolute emergency I will pull out my Presta to Schrader adapter and use that otherwise I will just use my hand pump or if I am in a big rush a CO2 inflator. However just be careful go slowly and in the case of a car pump which usually doesn't have a gauge don't ever hold it on for more than short bursts. I had a guy using our inflator at work and I kept having to tell him don't leave it on you could over-inflate and he just didn't listen luckily he didn't over-inflate because I kept explaining it.

I would not recommend drilling out a rim to fit a car tire valve. I would just learn to use a presta valve properly and no issues needed. I have had no issues with presta valves that I didn't cause on my own due to being intentionally ignorant and brutish.

Drilling out a rim for a schrader valve depends on the rim.

I’m not sure I’d want to take my black & decker to a narrow aero rim.

John

Edit: Just noticed it was 622x30.

^ Yeah, plenty of meat and width on OP's rim if he wants to do it. There are far worse sins.

I drill all mine. the diameter difference is infinitesimal. debur the hole w/ a round & a flat file, then touch it up w/ a little paint. just make sure you get valves that are long enough. this one is threaded but they certainly don't have to be. I don't use the nut

OK, what's the knock on Presta valves vs. Schraeder?

I decided to stick with Presta and I have already ordered a few adapters (Presta to Schrader). I don't want to drill my rim if this is the only option..

When I was a kid everyone had Schrader on their bikes and I had Presta. I always had some problems with pumping my tires so that's why I developed an aversion towards Pretsa.. 20 years later, and I will give them a second chance

A good decision, IMO. What happened when you were a kid, with kid bikes and kid resources, may not directly translate to your experiences today. Can you identify the actual problems with pumping your tires and see if you can address those? I used to dislike Presta just because I used to be a MTB snob but now I find it much easier to use and not lose any pressure when attaching/detaching the pump chuck. The only problem I've had in 15 years of Presta use is snapping one off because I was dumb and careless. Now I keep my pump closer to the wheel and go slower.
Using an adapter is a simple non-destructive way to do what you want. If you do decide to drill, as already mentioned, make sure you debur internally.
