Help! Having BF *and* Yahoo mail issues

I'm running Firefox on a laptop, and everything's always been fine up to now. Suddenly a week ago I can't see embedded videos on BF; if I click quote I can see the link, otherwise just a big white space.

Today my Yahoo email is severely malfunctioning; ads not loading was my first clue, but I can't trash emails, I can read them but can't close out of them (I have to click on the inbox), and they don't show as having been read. The most important thing is that I can't reply to my emails.

Java is running and up-to-date. I've restarted Firefox, Yahoo mail, and the computer. I've checked Yahoo's so-called "help", including their cheap-ass chat bot, and got nothing. I've checked with Firefox and got nothing. I've tried googling my problems and got nothing, except for one person posting about similar issues four days ago.

I'm out of ideas. Any knowledgeable folks out there with some?

Test replicating the issue with a different browser.

I would assume you have also tried things like clearing cache, etc.

I've noticed a page reload brings up the videos. I would suspect Firefox, but I don't see the problem on other sites.

I use Firefox and don't see some embedded videos. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't, And a video I don't see at one point may be there if I go back to that thread later.

Unfortunately I have no idea what to do about it. Nice to know I could see it if I quoted.

I have cleaned my cache, but I haven't tried a different browser. I've never used Internet Explorer -- er, Edge that came with my computer. Guess I'll have to suck it up. Oh poop, and find the passwords! ::facepalm::

Well, email issues seem to be resolved; I cleaned out all the Yahoo cookies and set a new password and it's working fine!

Still can't see embedded videos on BF. Everywhere else is fine, just not here. Weird.

Have you tried the stuff mozilla says to do for the video problem?

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1322065

Or one of these other things from a google search....
