Track gearing question
What are the gear ranges typically seen in the Cruiser (24") class on BMX tracks?
Example... 41-14/39-12 etc.
There is an awesome track about 500 feet from my GF's house, and I should be riding it!

So far I have an S&M ATF frame and forks for a 24" build. I know it's a freestyle frame and not a race frame, but it's a start.
I am looking at the Profile 19mm spline drive setup with 175 arms, but that isn't set in stone.
I did the track on my 29 XC racebike, and it was very fun. I don't know if it a "pump" track or not. Still learning here.

40 - 42 on the front, usually 17 on the back. Go to the track and see what others are running, or better yet go take a lap and adjust from there.

Pump tracks are usually closed loops. Race tracks have a starting gate & ramp, and a finish point.
River Bend has four pump tracks, five jump lines, a perimeter flat trail, a mountain bike singletrack, and a wall ride.

After doing a pump track on my SE 29'er (a "Big Flyer" ) -- i was left desiring a 24" wheeled machine as well

For racing, I run a 42:18 with a 1.75 rear tire.
That looks like a great park to ride. Have fun!
If you like the pump track feel, consider checking out a race track - there'll be a list of tracks at USABMX.com - track search. Racing is a blast. I started a couple years ago at 40.
I'll note though, that even not having been on a BMX since the early 90s until I started racing with my kids, I far prefer my 20" to my cruiser.
