Correct. Graduating in a few though.

We have a club team and I helped run it for a bit. Had a falling out with the other kid running it and decided that I'd just ride for the team I raced for over the summer. Then I got injured, so now I'm not riding at all.

I was pretty in to Explosions in The Sky a couple years ago. Haven't been listening to them much lately, but when the mood strikes I think they're pretty great.

Playlist today consisted of Bob Dylan, The Snake The Cross The Crown, Springsteen, The Tallest Man on Earth, and a couple of Radiohead songs.

I like them both a lot, but I do have to say that "Kind of Blue" is my fave. I know that it is the cliche answer, but damn every track is a masterpiece.

Seriously though, it must be a southern thing because my mp3 player (iPods didn't exist when I bought it) has a lot of the same stuff Apus^2 mentioned. I only use it for riding the trainer, or warming up for a TT, so go figure.

It's mostly filled with stuff like the Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Moby, Prodigy, etc. But with the addition of George Clinton, some other funkadelic stuff, a bit of early rap (grandmaster flash era), and a few things "from the 80s" (I swear to god "Suzie Q" is on my mp3 player, yeah I should just shoot myself now. But hey, it's my workout play list, not yours, and if it helps me get done quicker so be it).

Albums like Kind of Blue and Giant Steps are never cliche. They are simply too good to be ever labeled as cliches. OTOH, my favorite Miles album is this. Somehow it really gets me into a good mood.

of course, this particular album cover didn't put Miles in a good mood

I'm with you.

It seems everything pales when compared to Block Rockin' Beats.

No, definitely not. Emanuel nailed it with Soundtrack To A Headrush and now they're too blowing it like the rest of the bands you listed.

the story goes like this.

Miles demanded George Avakian, an executive at Columbia Records, "Why'd you put that white b!tch on there?" The cover was later changed to what you have

ps. nice internet handle. we've got a fan of Monk & a fan of Miles, this is good
