Depending on current trade wars, blights, and other geo-political instabilities, you may need to substitute in USA-grown seeds. Careful, depending on what state the seeds come from you may develop a hankering for ivermectin or strong support of Bernie Sanders.

Jack In The Beanstalk
I was going to say "I smell a rat" but my 1st thought was of Jack And The Beanstalk... (and the magic beans)....
This is all getting pretty far afield of C&V bicycles but maybe this will tie bikes and seeds together?
I bought a mid 80's SBDU built Raleigh USA 753 Team Bike from a friend. He told me that when he first got it, the BB felt funny. When he opened it up he discovered it was packed full of red dirt???

Almost any seed will do, depending on who or what decides to live in the bottom bracket...

Any 1/4" or 6mm balls will work. They should be readily available at a bike shop, or failing that, a bearing supply house.

I think normally you have to plant them, wait about 10 years depending on climate and soil conditions, then harvest the fruit. They typicaly don't grow well inside of bottom brackets.

Yuc. No, spined soldier bug, or common stink bug. A beneficial predator of many garden pests. Pic was taken in the fall so it was probably looking for a place to hunker down for the winter.
https://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures...uliventris.htm
I used to keep several potted cacti on the front porch and had to bring them in for the winter months and it was not unusual for one of those bugs to hitch a ride into the house to overwinter, where it would stay on that plant or the ones adjacent to it until time to go back outside in the early spring. The grownups would say they stink if you squash one, but I have had no desire to find out

Just make sure they're metric seeds.
