Took a few pics of of the bike before delivering it to my son-in-law. Totally redid the bike to his wishes, he didn’t like the purple spatter paint job, neither did I, but loved the ride, and so did I, even though the frame was a bit small.

Pretty much stuck with the 105 1055 driveline, Yellow Jersey in Arlington WI, did the paint, decals, and Velocity wheel build. Couldn’t find any decent Shimano 7 speed brifters, at least cosmetically, so decided on MicroShift, which I couldn’t find either.

Ended up with some MicroNew brifters from Soma, from what I could gather they are a Chinese copy of the Taiwanese MicroShifts. I’m curious to see how they hold up, maybe by the time they fail, if they do, as they seem pretty well built, and shift quite nicely, Soma will have the 7 speed MicroShifts in stock.

Oh yeah, my apologies for the photo backround, sun was low and bright, too many shadows trying to use the garage door.
Tim

The little Schwinn sticker on the crank bolt cover is certainly a nice touch! Beautiful blue too.
