Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I live in Indy. BGI is okay, but there are a lot of other shops around:

https://neboridge.com/
https://a1cyclery.com/
https://www.motioncycling.com/
https://thebikeline.com/
https://www.matthewsbikes.com/
https://graygoatsports.com/
https://www.bicycleoutfittersindy.com/

The list goes on...

Depends on what brands you're interested in looking at.

Either BGI or Nebo Ridge for Cannondale. NR ususally is at full MSRP, and BGI is usually $100 or so less. Both stores offer fitting services. NR's fitting is good for as long as you own the bike (you can come back in if you make a change to your setup). Although that's probably less useful to you if you are so far away.

BGI is a nice shop. It's big, so lots of stock. Call ahead if there is something you are looking for in particular. I've bought a couple bikes there. Giant, Trek, Cannondale are the big three.

I live in Bloomington, my current bike came from BG Indy b/c they were the ones that had what I wanted in stock. Happy with the bike and service but didnt offer much help with fit..assuming they wanted to sell fit services.
