I tried some Anzac biscuits on a recent tour and like them enough to buy a dozen as the energy bar for the ride.
Its basically a cookie (flour, oats, coconut, sugar, golden syrup, butter)
The cookie was truly an energy bar derived during WW1 when Aus/NZ folks sent their loved ones goodies which did not spoil easily.

Usually, I will grab some salty stuff like chips to the carbo and salt too.

Usually the meals I cook for myself.

Pasta with house-made chorizo, farm stand zucchini, red onion and fresh garlic. I get a certain satisfaction from cooking on tour.

Anything and everything!

I love fresh fruit and veggies, they are portable and can be eaten while riding if necessary. A good espresso won't hurt my feelings either. Followed up by a good stout or porter at the end of the day.

Snickers are worth $1, especially when you smile at the cashier and get 48 oz. of ice water for free. Taste good too!

Bananas and Nutella in the middle of nowhere. Yum.

Donuts with durian filling sounds amazing!

I'm more of a mid afternoon beer and salty snack fan. Fruit if no cold beer is around
