Is this gonna be a problem?

I'm tired of not quite adjusting my BF pakiT seat mast the same every time i unfold it. It's a titanium seat mast with no markings and nothing stays on it, not nail polish or permanent marker, even if I try to scratch it in. I don't have an engraving tool and don't want to buy one to try that and my eyes probably aren't good enough to see it anyway, lol. If I put the seat mast height so it rests on the bottom bracket when I ride and adjust my Thompson seat post accordingly, then when I unfold I can just drop the whole thing onto the bottom bracket and the height is perfect every time. That means the weight is more on the end of the mast and BB rather than held by the QR clamp. I weight 135 if that matters. Any reason to NOT do this? I can put some clear plastic over the BB paint to prevent it rubbing off. I just wonder if there is any risk to the frame or BB or the titanium mast I should be aware of?

I would ask BF first.

Ok, just in case anyone else is thinking of doing the same thing, BF says it's not an issue as long as the Thompson seatpost is within min. insertion limits, which means it might not work if you're tall but I am not. This is gonna make unfolding so much easier (in truth, I have missed the folding seat post of the NWT which eliminated resetting) and just as efficient as the NWT.
