Celebrate your Schwinn’s special day
However you refer to the date stamp on you Schwinn’s head badge (build date, birthday, creation date....) I think it deserves annual recognition.
My 1986 Voyageur is stamped 1116 so 4/21 is day 111 in a non leap year. It’s still cold here so I put on my best winter gear and took it for a ride today to celebrate it’s 35th year of existence. It’s the least I could do for such a dependable machine.

I’ll have to wait until November 22 to celebrate my Voyageurs 41st birthday. I presume Badger biker, you’re a Wisconsinite. I’m in nearby Minnesota and yes it is still cold here. Probably gonna be cold on November 22nd too, so I see know reason to wait, I’ll be out celebrating your Schwinns birthday with a ride on my Voyageur.

I've got a Jan 21 78 and a April 5 83, neither get much chance of birthday rides. We've had snow the last couple of days, and the county poured salt all over the roads.

Been a huge Paramount fan most of my life, couldn't believe it when this was outed here and I was able to get my hands on it.
Especially since it was/is in fantastic condition and mostly original.
And it came with that to me cool as heck shipping label.

My Cimarron’s date is 2 days before my Voyageur but I had surgery on my finger Monday so didn’t take it out. So today I made up for it and rode it for a celebration beer.

(13) Schwinn's (not including some parted out frames) the pandemic hobby was collect and recreate my 80's Schwinn Local Bike Shop - I now have most of the bikes I used to drool over in the yearly catalogues....the thought now is what have I done
Most of these are very nice original paint and with a few exceptions. this year I spend the most time on the '80 Chrome Voyageur and the '87 Cimarron. The '87 Tempo is next up to become a regular rider.
