My very own dump/curb find thread!

i've been coming across a number of bike related finds, particularly at my town dump (i.e., transfer station) over the past couple of years. never paid too much attention there pre-covid. i contributed to a general thread concerning these discoveries, but since my finds are somewhat regular, and it would be much easier to keep track of them here and read feedback concerning them, i though i should just start my own individual thread. this thread is NOT for others to toss in their stuff, just to comment on mine (i know, selfish!). please contribute any thoughts on these items. hopefully i can keep it interesting!

let me front load several discoveries.

No pics yet.
My advice = Watch out for those rascally dastardly disobedient thread stealers. They love to post 'value' finds. Dump or no dump.

Some nice finds. If you end up using that rack make sure you check it over with a fine tooth comb while it may just seem like a bike rack it is a safety item and if it fails it can be fatal to someone behind you.

My story is the reverse. My find cost me mucho.
Once upon a time, I found a nice 3/8" drive ratchet handle in the road. Unfortunately, the thumb switch to change direction was broken. Fortunately, it was a Craftsman. I took it into a Sears and unfortunately, the lady behind the counter gave me a new one.
Since then I have bought all sorts of sockets and extensions for it, all separately. I would have been better off to leave it and buy a nice set of SAE and metric sockets and extensions all at once.

Another dump mystery. Worth keeping? I see Ritchey and Scuzzy Logic comp up front, a shimano front derailleur FD-CX70, and a serial number of S1040718. I think original paint. No decals.

I've found on the road a Bontrager rechargeable tail light, a Topeak Road Morph pump, a Polar insulated water bottle and a Lezyne mini pump. I'll try to post pics later. I've also found a bunch of non-cyling stuff that may not be of interest here.
