What road bike do you have?

How's the Lemond ride? I saw that frame previously listed on Craigslist or OfferUp and thought it'd be a cool project.

It's a super smooth ride with the Ultegra/Roval setup. Feels like a tank but very nimble and quick.

Back on a Madone
Three years ago i was on an Emonda and a Madone (not at the same time) both were rim brakes bikes.
Present day, Im back on an Emonda and a Madone (still not at the same time) and now Disc Brakes.

2012? Found in good shape used. Pretty light, 15.25 with pedals and cages. (Before the bag, light, and other mounts. Thought I’d never get Di2.

2012 - 2015 model;. I had that same color way when it came out, sold it as I phased out of cycling a few years later and honestly missed that bike. Coming back into the sport 2 years ago, I built up a 2015 Team frame in SRAM Red 22. This generation SuperSix come out stupid lightweight when built up.

I agreed to “take” this as part of a multi-bike deal, filthy with Chorus Synchro II 2x8, Ypsilon polished rims. $800. With changes, less selling takeoffs, $1500. It rightly gets “down and up.”
The other bike? Colnago Master Extra Light, Art Decor. I put the same components on it.
Also $800, but wheels were shot, Dura Ace 7700. Sold takeoffs for less.
Another $1500 build. Took it on a double century plus, it was flawless.
Two of the three most expensive bikes I ride. Worth every penny.

Another one is in the pipeline. Sample pic below, not mine (F/F/HS only). Will be a challenge to "modernize" it, but it will happen.

Great googley, the paint on your Rossin is exquisite. The combination of old school, classic steel and much more modern components is very appealing. I’d say that you can’t beat the ride quality of a top quality steel frame, regardless of era. But you can beat the performance of older components. This baby is a win-win.

That is an Innicycle adapter. As this frame was a wee bit small, I needed the height. It pretty much simulates the same quill stem, but I get short/shallow bars that seem to work better with brifters.

That Rossin Aero will be an interesting modernization since the shifters are in that shortlived aero location and the cables are routed internally.

Kind of frustrating...
I have a 2021 Trek Madone SL6 that I just got last weekend...
I was excited to post the picture of it, however the mods have decided that it's best to make this space unwelcoming to people who want to post pictures by restricting that feature until 10 posts are made.
I thought briefly about hurriedly posting 10 meaningless posts so I could access this feature, but I imagine there's some algorithm that prohibits that so I don't think I'll bother.
*sigh*
ok, apparently i’m good to go now!

And it helps ensure those who post here want to be part of the community by showing they are invested in more than just 1 post and leave.
It really isnt a big deal, just post in the 'welcome' forum and respond to some other posts then you can toss a pic of your bike.

1. I just have the frame/fork/headset/seat post/saddle/ shifters.
2. The seat post is worth good money, being a Rossin panto Super Record.
3. The headset is also a Super Record, so that comes off.
4. I already sold the friction Super Record DT shifters, with backing plates.
5. The decals are not great. The pearl white has yellowed.
6. The panto Rossin fork was stripped to all chrome and there is a small gouge.
7. I already sold the Vetta tiger stripe honey saddle.
8. I don’t want Campy friction shifters, and Suntour or Simplex won’t mount there.
In summary, I can end up with the frame and fork for less than $50. Which clears the way for a rebuild.
My plan, already in a box:
1. Dura Ace 10-sp downtube shifters. This will require I remove the piggyback mount, modify a set of Shimano backing plates, mount them, and re-install the assembly back onto the downtube.
2. Modolo composite aero brake levers, mounted for riding the drops.
3. Shimano 600AX calipers. I may see about painting them black, or at least the arms.
4. Innicycle headset in black, with a modern stem, Ritchey 4-Axis, -17/70mm.
5. Specialized Hover drop bar with 20mm rise. White Zipp wrap.
6. Superteam carbon 35mm wheelset.
7. Braze-on Ultegra 6600 FD
8. Ultegra 6600 RD
9. Stronglight Pulzion crankset. 50/34
10. Thomson zero-setback seatpost (black)
11. Full carbon saddle (black)
12. GM white repaint, black panto.
13. Same repaint on fork,or Kestrel EMS Pro repaint fork with Rossin panto etched in.
14. New Rossin Decals (“Laser Aerodynamic)” is not available.
15. New Columbus Air decals.
16. 11-28 cassette
17. Vredestein TriComp 700x25 tires.
What isn’t white will be black or polished. Should be fine, done by May.
