Seafood is our other big choice. I could eat fish just about every day. I really like Spanish style fish dishes.

We went to a little joint in our town's "historic downtown" and had tacos for lunch Tuesday. Tacos are $1.99 each, and three fills me up. They make really good breakfast tacos. Total lunch bill for 2 with a tip was less than $12.00.

We carried layers. Hard to see in the pic but she had extra clothes. I usually brought leg warmers, vest, long gloves, and a skull cap minimum. I think that day we only went to Islip Saddle, about 7000 feet.

Car question......my daughter drives a 2010 Corolla. She is complaining that there is a "leak" of "stinky water" on the floor/carpet of her car. She said it was bad yesterday when it was quite hot and she drove a long distance.

I am 99% sure it's condensation from the A/C somehow getting into the cabin, but not quite sure how to trace this. Suggestions??

edit: I think this is a good plan....yes?

I head immediately northeast into PA and end up in Franklin. There is a free camping area not far south of town along the Allegheny River Trail that features a couple of small shelters. In 2014 some boy scout group was using them to store their gear while they slept in tents because nearest parking area for their trailer was about a quarter mile away. It had rained in the afternoon. Would have been nice not have to pitch my tent on a muddy tent pad. The upside was that the next morning, while enjoying my coffee outside my tent, two young bald eagles had a little spat in a tree right in front of me.

That first little climb at around mile 4.8 doesn't look like much on paper, but both times I rode it it pissed me off. I think it's because it comes as a chock after the first 4.8 miles. And when you are looking up the road, it does not look as steep as it is.

I often do during grilling season. Grilled a pompano on Monday and a mackerel on Tuesday. Broiled some sockeye last night and just picked up some sockeye salmon burgers for tonight. Too hot to grill right now.

It's more likely condensation than anything else since there is no water inside the car otherwise. The stink is probably carpet and pad mildew.

Yes, you'll have to unclog that drain hose. I'd give it a shot since there is nothing to lose.

I love fish. Growing up, Dad and Mom would have fish pretty frequently. But apparently The Boys are allergic, somehow, so no fish for Mr. and Mrs. GeneJockey unless we eat out - and we don't eat out anymore, what with COVID and all.

I am thinking I can repurpose my frayed RD shifter cable to unclog the drain hose.

My son, the fellow car geek, just texted me to tell me that the guy in his office building that normally drives either a Lamborghini Urus or Lamborghini Aventador showed up in a Ferrari SF-90.

For the thrifty among us, that is a paltry $2 million (roughly) for three cars.

Years ago, my old boss traded me his 1st generation Acura Legend. It was a nice car, but all its life when he parked it at home, it was under a tree that dropped stuff. One day I came out to get in it and the rear footwell was awash. Turns out the sunroof drain tubes were clogged with that stuff. We paid to have it detailed, which also got rid of the cigarette smoke smell.

Funny thing is, the smell didn't much bother me because I worked closely with him and he smoked, so I was very used to it. Nowadays, even with my lousy sniffer, it would bother me. It would REALLY bother Mrs. GeneJockey.

A few years back, the girls were driving an old Maxima and said the sunroof was leaking. I was able to ream out the drain from the sunroof and solve the problem with.....wait for it.....an old frayed RD shift cable.

Sometimes the drain hose gets pulled up into the cabin and just drains on the carpet, sometimes it gets plugged, sometimes the case cracks. If the AC is running on a humid day there should be a steady piddle on the ground. Your idea about chasing it with a shift cable is good. Look under the hood/cowl area to see if a lot of debris is there.

We had customers complain about the water on the ground numerous times. Most of them accept it when told it's just condensation but one woman said it was too much water and something must be wrong.

There was a Buick where the evaporator case wouldn't drain completely and mold would grow and stink. The factory solution was to install a relay to run the blower fan to dry things after the car was turned off. It was called an "after blow" relay.

In California you can post a bond instead of buying insurance, at least you could years ago.
