What's a '72 Fuji Finest worth these days?

Time for me to get this out of the basement, havent ridden it for ~15 years. The bike was built in Jan 1972 and Ive owned it since 1974. Most everything original but a lot of miles on this great old bike. Took off the sew-up tires and put on sealed hubs and concave 27" rims. The paint had a lot of chips so I took it down to the chrome. Its a BIG frame, seat tube is 24-3/4 from the center of the crank (Im 6'3"). I know the big frames are harder to find.

The crank, shifters, stem, brake levers are original. I THINK the derailleurs and brakes are as well but I cant remember for sure. I could use confirmation (or not).

OK I have a bunch of pictures but the forum will not allow me to post them because Im new.

Anybody want to ballpark a fair price range for this? I really just want to let someone get this thing back out on the road again where it belongs.

Thanks

You're going to want to ask the mods to move this to the C&V valuation. Better pics of the bike with wheels on would help. These are really nice bikes. I just rode my 70s Fuji Finest today. I think $200 plus as it sits. I paid somewhat more for mine but it was in great shape. Yours will need a lot of work but it has good bones. Here's a pic of your bike:

Right now it's presented with a minimum of care, sans wheels. As such, expect a minimum return!

You need better pics of the bike fully set up to sell it.

Suntour Cyclone derailleurs were introduced in 1975 or 1976, so not original to the bike.

Bikes: Was Fuji and got my grails (Pro, Pro SR, Design Series, & Ti). Now I hunt 50's and older road bikes.

Looks like a replacement fork, as this does not look like either of the Finest forks for that era.

Since the paint is stripped, I think you would get more for the stem and derailleurs than you would for the frame. I'd likely part this out, rather than try to sell as-is.

Thanks, Im not really looking to make a bunch of money, just want to ask a fair price. I assumed most of the value was in the frame. It has concave rims and newer sealed bearing hubs with the original suntour quick release spindles. Will probably need new rubber. I will put a couple more pics on CL

Thanks for posting the pic bikemig I appreciate you taking a shot at value. I noted in another reply I posted pics of the wheels and tires. Weinmann concave hubs and original Suntour quick release spindles.

I would agree the fork looks to be a late 70s Tange Cro-mo chrome fork which was used on a lot of late 70's Fujis. You can likely tell what the fork is and if it is correct for the bike by taking it off the frame these and Fuji forks were marked on the head tube and often what bike they where for.
