Just ordered this:
Should shave almost half a pound off the bike. Can't wait to throw it on.

Here's a tip: Place a piece of black electrical tape on the seatstays where you attach the little plastic lugs with the rubber rings. I got some grinding marks in the paint in those spots last season. This year I added the strip of tape. I don't think you have to overdo it but a little protection goes a long way. If you want to leave it in place, a framesaver sticker would be a good idea too.

2. Reflective tape can be more effective than lights. Especially the kind of tape I've purchased.
3. Thanks for your valuable input.

I use those fenders on my BH G5 frame which has approximately a popsicle stick's worth of clearance. I had to do some trimming around the FD cable since it comes up out of a hole in the frame instead of around a bolt-on cable guide, but other than that, I love them. They do rub a tiny bit here and there since they are relatively flexible but they don't seem to cause any real drag. I'm sure I would get a lot less rub if I ran 23c tires in the rear but I'm currently running a Conti 4000S 25mm in the rear.

instead of a garmin gps, i went with a 5hz mtk2 chipset gps logger. i find that i enjoy everything better without a screen to distract me, and its cheaper and more accurate than any sirfstar garmin edges. i dont think any garmins get 32 hours per charge either.
sirfstar in green and light blue. actual in yellow.

GPS logger: No cadence, no HR, no navigation (very useful when mountain (or road) biking on trails/roads that are new to me BTW), no ANT+ power, etc. I'll keep my Edge 800, it's proven to be plenty accurate to me (IMOHO of course).

Some people love to just ride or know the area they live. Its interesting, but I think alot of people would rather have the info at their fingertips.
I am deciding between the Garmin 500 and Garmin 200.....Not really needing a bunch of info told me being that as of right now, I just ride without a computer.

you get path, speed, elevation, and grade. you dont get cadence, heart rate, navigation, or power. cadence i liked, but its not very useful once you get a feel. im meh on heart rate and navigation. power is very important, and id get a 500 if i had a way to get a power reading. ill cross that bridge when i get another grand in equipment.
its definitely cheaper, with longer battery, and more accuracy, and its definitely a bit less user friendly and much less feature rich. the biggest thing is the lack of a realtime readout which is a deal breaker for almost everyone, but ive found that it makes things much more enjoyable for me personally. i do like to pour over the data afterwards so for me its alright.
i forgot that id be trying out the new apple jawn soon so i actually pulled the trigger then unpulled the trigger on this gps logger. ill give the phone plus an extra battery a chance first, but if i decide its not good enough, ill be going back to an mtk2 logger.
