`86 Look TVT La Vie Claire riding video

Hi Guys, recently uploaded a new video of riding a classic 1986 Look TVT in La Vie Claire colours - great bike, c-record, 26 spoke Ambrosio`s - plus I ramble on a bit about Lemond and Hinault...

Enjoy, Dan.

7 speed friction shifters? 26 spoke wheels?
There may be more but I stopped waiting.

Not full C-Record either, crankset, seat post.
Stopped at the Giro tyres part, why ride the worst tubies available?

Your correct, I had to swop the original C-Record aeropost for a longer Chorus post - TVT posts are around 25mm and very hard to track down in longer lengths and none of us want to run a seatpost beyond its limits. Sorry some of you don`t like Index shifters and 26 spoke wheels - I`ll be sure to mention that to anyone riding a bike built from 1986 onwards...

Thanks, Dan.

I think his point is that unless you're running Heliums, you're not running a 26 spoke wheel.
Also calling it "Campagnolo's first attempt at friction shifting" raises red flags and eyebrows.

Good for you man.

You have a nice bike that you're passionate about and you're out there riding it.

Darn, I do say friction shifter a couple of times - though I then correct myself, my fault for not reading a script... anyone got any new Heliums? The 26 spoke Ambrosios (rare enough in themselves) came with almost new Giro`s - pretty sure I point out they are not my first choice - for me, that would be Veloflex service corse, as soon as the Giro`s wear (and they wear pretty quickly) I`ll be swopping them.

Thanks, Dan.

Quit while you're not too far behind.

You do not have 26 spoke Ambrosios, or 26 hole Campagnolo hubs.

Darn, just counted them - 28 spoke Ambrosios on Campy hups - earlier type hubs as I could not track down c-record 28 hole hubs - I`m guessing you have an issue here? You`ve ridden a lot of TVT`s I guess?

24, 28, 32, 36, 40 -> bike people just understand the dna of how bikes are put together. When we hear a spokesperson for a vintage bike organization saying 26 spokes & things like Campy’s special 7 speed friction shifters we start to question the agenda. Again, very nice and interesting ride!

Not a lot, just one.
Not a patch on my 381i I'm happy to say.
