Trek 2300 2003 Valuation Help!
Just wondering if anyone is able to give a guide valuation to a Trek 2300 from 2003. The bike is in the colours of United States Postal services and the full specification is available here:

It's a good bike if in low-mileage condition, but note that the rubber hoods for the brake levers are long-gone from the market so makes for a rough kluge or complete lever replacement which can potentially put a huge damper on the bike's market value in it's current condition.
Condition of the rest of the bike, especially the wheels, also weighs heavily on whether someone like me would want it, even at a garage-sale price.

I wouldnt use bicycle blue book as a guide since it doesnt take into account local demand, seasonality, or frame size. Thats 3 of the 4 important parts for what makes up a bike's value.

Need pics to give any sort of worthwhile guess since, as mentioned, condition is everything.

Thank you - unfortunately I'm a newbie and can't seem to add photos to the thread 🙄

I think at the very least BBB is a starting point. Obviously without going through the bike it is always tough to tell but it is at least a baseline. The bike is a nearly 20 year old bike with decent components but nothing super exceptional or rare. What would you value it at?

If you are looking for something more upright and comfortable this might be more your speed: https://www.specialized.com/us/en/ro...ext=96121-4002. Of course keep in mind it will take some time to get one.
