Primer for carbon forks
I'm planning on stripping and painting a pair of carbon forks.
I can't find carbon fiber paint primer where I live. Would automotive plastic (bumper/fender) paint primer work?

You don't need special primer. The carbon should be sealed with resin so you aren't painting carbon. Just be sure to not sand though the epoxy when prepping the fork. Use two part epoxy primer as the first layer. If there are imperfections in the base layer you can use fill primer or spot putty to level the surface.
