Rube Goldberg belt drive bike
This working prototype bike (not a folder) is an interesting, if impractical Rube Goldberg take on a belt drive where two chains drive a cogged pulley that in turn drives a belt that is mated to a hub-less wheel:

Spokeless wheels are no good - too heavy when they are strong enough and too weak when they are light enough. The only case that I can figure out where it might work is where the weight bearing connection between frame and wheel is right at the bottom.

Lots of crankset and metal chains for a belt drive bike.

Yes, but not in the Folding Forum. The other entries focus on the hub-less wheel. I referenced my post to the arcane chain-belt drive, not the wheel itself, because belt topics have shown up here lately.
As I already noted. The subject was belt drive, not folding bike.
Finally someone gets it!
