Most common chainring bcd and bolt pattern?

I want to run a spider on a 1 speed like on BMX bikes when I was a teenager.

If I wanted the most common size to most easily find replacements,

104bcd 4 bolt? Is that right?
Thank you.

What size of chainring are you using? Crank type? Square Taper? Crank length?

For road bikes, 130 - 5 bolt is common for smallest rings > 39 teeth.
110 - 5 bolt is common for smallest rings 34 teeth to 36 teeth.

I think the more modern setups are moving to 110 - 4 bolt.

MTBs have other sizes.

Yes, 104mm BCD for symmetrical 4-bolt cranks is very common. Direct mount is becoming popular today as well, which doesn't use a "spider" at all. But I'd say 104mm is the prevailing 4-bolt pattern.

Right now, MTBs are coming out with 96mm asymmetrical 4-bolts, slightly older ones used 96mm symmetrical, and slightly older MTB doubles and triples used 104mm symmetrical, even older ones used 110 5 arm symmetrical. Modern road cranks use 110 4 arm asymmetrical. These sizes are very easy to source 1x rings for.

There are other BCDs out there but these are the newest-ish ones that have a lot of 1x rings. For max 34t, a 110 5 arm crank is very hard to beat for versatility.
