Today's ride was super foggy the first hour or so. It was wet and gritty. Luckily we missed the ice spots and no crashes or flats.
Somehow I over-loosened my front wheel's nut opposite the QR lever, and in the process lost the stupid little cylindrical spring that goes between the hub and the nut.
I was daring and rode without it!

My company just officially announced our move to a new location... slightly closer to my home.
I'm debating commuting by bike.

It was the OC friggin Black Ice Capades out there this AM. I'm amazed I didn't hit the deck.

My 15 miles each way were a lot more fun when I could take more backroads to work, now that we moved office locations its just not as fun. Still, its an easy way to get in 30 miles each day. I'm hoping to start back up next week, I've been rather lazy the last month or so.

Understood completely. Give it a shot, and if it doesn't pan out, or turns even more harrowing than just riding your bike, at least you gave it a shot.

I see them stuck in forks quite a bit, usually when conical ones are on backwards- big side facing in.
