Good Book About Biking?
I must have done a poor job of searching but I thought I could get a list of good books about cycling. I am not talking about technical books, or how to books, or historical documentary books, etc. I would like to read a good book that happens to be about cycling and the love of cycling, be it racing or touring or whatever.
Needn't be a classic novel, need not be an award winning book or a piece of great literature, but a good book worth reading. I welcome any suggestions.

Off the Map: Bicycling Across Siberia
look it up on Amazon. I read this book years ago and it was interesting.

I have found one book I am enjoying: "Its All About The Bike: The Pursuit of Happiness On Two Wheels"

Pete Sagan wrote a book. So did George Hincapie (OK, someone wrote it for him), Jens Voight and of course there are several about and by Lance Armstrong. And there are tons about Le Tour dr France.

French Revolutions. Out of shape English guy decides to ride the Tour de France route on his own, based on a map he cut out of a magazine. https://www.amazon.com/French-Revolu.../dp/0312316127

Need for the Bike, Paul Fournel. A bit of a classic about the "love for the bike".
It's All About the Bike, Robert Penn. I re-read every ten years.

Alpe d'Huez - Cycling's Greatest Climb by Peter Cossins. What can I say? It made me want to ride up a hill.

Okay, old thread, but since I saw it I highly recommend this book. It's a blast from the past, bordering on Cyclist Militancy!

I too have read "It's All About the Bike", a delightful book that's entertaining and informative. If you have any interest in the history and tech of bicycles you'll like this book

This book is gorgeous, I give it all the guarantees! I saw excerpts from her on the site https://phdessay.com/free-essays-on/problem-solution/ when I did my homework for college, and after that I decided to read it completely. Since I had a lot of free time thanks to the site, I read it and was very pleased with it

I like “Metal Cowboy” by Joe Kurmaskie.
Also, recently finished “Draft Animals” by Phil Gamion which was a fun read too.
And “Wheelmen” by Vanessa O’Connell, although I never followed pro-racing again after reading this book. Kind of like “Game of Shadows”, but for cycling instead of baseball.

Depending on your interest:
Coyotte's Bicycle - Kimball Taylor
The Dancing Chain- Rob Vander Plas
The Fastest Bicycle Rider in the World- Major Marshall Taylor autobiography
Domestique - Charlie Wiggens
Cycling is My Life- Tommy Simpson autobiography
No Hands- Story of Schwinn -Judith Crown
One Last Great Thing- John Burke (Trek)
The Quest for Speed- Andrew Richie
Bicycles in War- Caidin
Just for fun-
Positively False- Floyd Landis (realizing it is predicated on a lie which he admitted after this was published)
Any of the Lance Armstong books( for the same reason)
So many good and great reads on bicycles available- and a few clunkers as well.
Good luck
rusty

I'm trying to locate a local copy of Paul Kimmage's "Rough Ride: Behind the Wheel with a Pro Cyclist" (2007). I'd say most stuff by Paul Kimmage would be good, if you want focused on pro racing.
"Against The Wind: Pedaling For A Pint From Japan To Ireland" by Yasuyuki Ozeki (2004) was good.

I saw some books recently, I am doing my research. I have an assignment to write an essy about the book Full Tilt: Ireland to India with a Bicycle by Dervla Murphy. I was very impressed, but I am not able to write it in my own words. I am lookign for the good writing service. Reviews can be very helpful, I recently wanted to turn to StudyPool company, but when I read more about them I changed my mind. In addition, reviews are often very informative. Reviews like the one I sent you will help you better understand which services are better for you to work with personally.

Despite being exposed for doping, I did enjoy Lance's book It's Not About the Bike.
