What new shoes for Space Horse ?
I use my All City Space Horse as kind of a one bike for all conditions. Looking for recommendations on tires that roll fast on pavement yet handle the gravel well. So far I have used the Vittoria Hyper which is a little lacking on gravel and the Panaracer Gravel King SK which are a pain to put on and take off and one tire has a noticeable wobble. I run them both with tubes. What tire do you guys recommend ?

With tubes- Clement/Donnelly MSO 40 in the 120tpi option.
I used em for a few years- they wear extremely well on pavement and gravel. And they roll really well.
The 120tpi version is light, but durable(in my case, at least).
And they mount as well as remove with just my hands(on h plus son archetype rims).
The only downside is mine had a tread wobble to them, but that was over 3 years ago and I've read subsequent manufactured tires didnt have the tread wobble. The tire rolled true, the tread was just slightly off and I couldn't tell on gravel since everything was bouncing.

In my experience I love how the Maxxis Rambler 40s are on pavement and off.
I've heard good things about Schwalbe G-One Allround, Donnelly MSO, WTB Nano or Resolute even. Or you could try to go the other route and go high volume slicks. People seem to love that. Rene Herse Barlow Pass 38c, Maxxis Velocita 40c, WTB Byway 40c. Panaracer gravel king slick's in 38c etc.

I have Schwalbe G-Ones on my Space Horse in 35mm and am still amazed at how well they roll on pavement. Great all around tire IMO.

As much as I liked the Resolute, in hindsight I might have preferred the Riddler just for the extra bit of fattness. I've heard the Riddler rolls quite nicely.

Gravel cyclist had two reviewers that liked the Resolute over the Riddler (or just about any tire they have tested).
contrasting to Grandfondo review that seemed to like the Riddler better.
I would say that the Resolute seems to be RG's favorite tire
WTB Resolute Tire: At The Finish -
https://ridinggravel.com/components/w...cal-viewpoint/
The 45mm Riddler and the Resolute are nearly the same size, my {42mm} Resolutes measure nearly 45mm on WTB’s KOM i25 rims,
...why I would pick the Resolute over the Riddler for what I tend to do most with my gravel rigs:
The biggest difference is in how the Resolute has an uncanny ability to roll faster on pavement with a less “draggy” feel when pedaling. Coasting with Resolutes is fast and free on pavement. Don’t let what your ears hear fool you, the Resolute has a noisier sounding roll than a Riddler does, but it rolls faster than a Riddler. The Resolute also reacts well under hard pedaling on pavement also. I always felt that the Riddler had a higher rolling resistance when mashing the pedals.
The second reason I would choose a Resolute is comfort. Now WTB says that the casings on the Resolute and the Riddler are the “TCS Light, Fast Rolling” casings, but the Resolute, for whatever reason, seems to have a slightly more forgiving ride. I’m not sure why this would be, but I do feel a slight advantage to the Resolute.

{GK-SK} doesn’t fare well when things get wetter. This is where the Resolute comes out ahead. Plus, a Gravel King has a tendency to fling smaller bits of stone at times, which can be annoying. The Resolute will never do that. Nothing against the Gravel King in that regard, just a footnote there.
The Gravel King doesn’t quite ride as nicely either, which I would say is due to the puncture protection belt that Panaracer put in it. Of course, that can also be seen as a positive depending upon your needs.

the Resolute does harder, paved surfaces far more effectively than even many so called gravel tires that lack much for grip off road or in the dirt... Add in the float that Reso’s can give you... and you have an all around tire for most conditions that gives away little, if anything, to any other tires in its class.
There. Feel better now?

I've ridden the Riddler 37 and the Resolute (which measures out at about 43mm on my rims). Both good. Similar tread. Just depends on whether you need more width/volume.
I'd bet that the differences between the Resolute and the Riddler 45 are pretty minimal in the real world.
