Palindrome miles --
Tuesday's ride was 16.61 miles
Wife's birthday was 9/5 and I rode 73 miles for her age then 2.57 miles extra for total of 75.57 miles
When I turned 70yo in 2020 my ride was 140 miles plus 1 for good measure = 141 miles
2015 my Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend Dopey Event so -- Thursday's 5K + Friday's 10K + Saturday's 1/2 marathon + Sunday's full marathon then on Monday a 1/2 marathon + Tuesday a 10K and Wednesday a 5K = 3.1 miles + 6.2 miles + 13.1 miles + 26.2 miles + 13.1 miles + 6.2 miles + 3.1 miles = 71 miles in 7 days so a 717

Running related instead of cycling content:
As far as peeing in public places, during the Marine Corps Marathon it is common for runners (of all genders) to pee on the side of hill/woods between that 124 sign and mile marker 4 on the course map below. The green shaded area.

I always look behind me before I whip it out, wrap it around my waist and pee behind me while riding. Sorry for you fellers without that ability (gift)!!!!

As far back as I can remember, I've always had downtube shifters - recently decided to put a set of thumbies on a flat bar touring bike by way of a change.
Do you think I can stop reaching down for a non-existent lever every time I want to change gear? Must look pretty odd to the casual observer.

Whenever I am forced to ride on a busy road with lots of noisy traffic I invariably burst into song, but I make up my own rude lyrics. The noisier the traffic, the bluer the lyrics.

I'm a huge Terry Pratchett fan - hence the username and love this... next time I'm in traffic I'll have to give a rendition of A wizard's staff has a knob on the end or The hedgehog can never be buggered at all.

Me, I will do quite a bit to avoid having a black cat cross my path. Like, speed up and in anticipation of the felines path, veer up on the sidewalk to get around the beast. I'm a regular commuter, and I can ensure a great day if I am successful in this ridiculous maneuver

I was on the side of the road in France a few weeks ago, wearing my bright pink Seattle International Randonneurs jersey. Along came a couple of Lone Star Randonneurs; the female of the pair (the randonneuse) said in a sing-song voice "LSR spies SIR peeing on the side of the road". The European riders going by didn't blink an eye.

Must be symmetrical
I really think we should be a little more careful characterizing behaviors as OCD as has happened a bunch of times in this thread.
OCD is a serious mental health issue and not a trivial descriptor for habits, quirks, irrational beliefs, or even repetitive behaviors on their own.
i am pretty sure no one in the forum would make light of different body types; and the same consideration should be there regarding divergent neurotypes.

My only odd habits are decorating my bikes with too many the right amount of colors and talking to myself while riding. A lot. Hey, sometimes I need expert advice. Fortunately in this modern society other riders often assume I'm talking to all the little people who live in my phone.

I have a propensity to come into these discussion forums and immerse myself with what other cyclists are doing (actually pre/post riding habit I guess). A gluten for punishment, I occasionally muster the courage to ask a question.
