RetroGression's H+Son/Gran Compe wheel sets are pretty decent for the money and are handbuilt which is rare at the under $400 price range. You could also go with the DT Swiss equipped version for $100 more and decent weight reduction and hub quality increase.

Ben's cycle in Milwaukee has "good ol days" hand built wheelset. Their own branded, very nice novatec based hubs. $200 shipped. Depending on rim choice, can be in the 1800g range for the pair.
I have two sets and am beyond pleased. Great bang for the buck. Call to see what color hubs and rims they have in stock.

My Wabi Sub-15's are great. They've actually stayed perfectly true and I don't feel any flex which surprised me for a 1475g wheelset. On their FB they said they're supposed to get a new shipment of them this month.

Thanks guys. I'm gonna check all choices. How much lighter do you guys consider they would be to stock CInelli gazette rims

I love my Wabi sub 15's, I'm running them on my Capo right now 'cause that's my lightest bike and I'm just going that way with the Capo.
The sub 15's have a lot of miles on them and had a couple of incidents with some rim damage and still are amazingly true and just seem to stay that way.

Just pull your tires off and weigh them if you have a scale. I have no idea but I'd guess well over 2000g range if it's those deep aluminum aero rims. They look heavy as hell. Chopping off that much rolling weight would be very nice, especially on a single speed.

my bike is actually in London right now and i am in the states. regardless from what i understand, there is a significant weight difference from generic stock rims right?

I have a set as well, close to 10 years old. Nice even spoke tension, still true after all these years and I’ve never touched them with a spoke wrench. Best purchase I ever made for that bike.

i think they are these:
Wheels:KT Hubs Fix/Free Flipflop - A-Rim S4219 Rims.
going to go for the wabi sub 15's then i guess. are they the ones zack gallardo uses?
