A few NOS 70s bikes! Mercier & Peugeot still wrapped in plastic.
Hey new friends! I've been here just a few times to look for info, so I'm glad I have something wild to contribute. If this isn't the correct format or forum to post these, I'll gladly repost properly.
I found a few of these at a small local auction, but I think they're wasted on me if they just hang out in storage for another 40-50 years. It's insane that these have been just sitting for so long, but here we are.
Seat/centre post from mid-tube measurements:
White: 56cm62cm (comes with it's original owners toolkit, but I might be keeping it)
Red: 54cm58cm
Orange: 58cm58cm
Pink Mercier TdF: 54cm57cm
Price is 700USD each (or trade for Leica M lenses lol)
Shipping will be negotiated with buyer
Located in Vancouver, Canada
I'm too new to posting here, so here is a link, updated with measurement photos: https://imgur.com/a/JaVWtHz

Cool find despite not being high-end bikes. Just be careful about trying to sell stuff directly without a premium membership!

Thanks so much for the tip on the membership!
I can’t even look at PMs yet lol
They certainly aren’t premium, but I’m hoping the respect and care will go to them rather than another storage space.

There's a ~54 cm Peugeot in there as well.

The French went all-in on plastic. Built many UO-x’s and they were all wrapped like that. Bikes from the Far East used single-face corrugated cardboard tied with ribbon.

Love the wingnuts on one of the front wheels; that suggests that bike might be a bit older than the others. I hate to say this but your best bet to get top dollar is eBay.

I'm not clear, do you own them or are they for auction somewhere else? You must post firm prices if they're yours.

agree should get the measurements straight - Center (of crank bolt) to Top of Seat lug or top tube (CTT) via seat tube, or CTC center to center (of top tube at seat post) in CM. Some would also want a measurement of the top tube CTC and what kind and size of wheels, clincher or tubular.

but can’t post prices or sell in regular C&V forum, if he was selling, has to post in C&V sales with a membership. If he was asking for what it’s worth, should ask a mod to move to C&V appraisals.

I don't think there's anyway to stop posting a price though. It's the (2ND?) most important part of the process.

Before they're listed for sale anywhere, I think it would be a personal responsibility to have everything measured and listed correctly N'est ce pas?
If Mods or senior members can suggest this is moved to a more appropriate spot, please be my guest. I could delete and re-post, crosspost if that's an option or what have you.

If you want to sell them here, you have to come up with prices or the sales thread will be deleted eventually.
I am moving this to the marketplace forum because it seems like a sales thread to everyone.

Ah crap. The red one was laying on it's box but the box was destroyed since the bike was laying on top of it. None of the others had any other packing materials and the Mercier was already built.

Thanks so much for this! I have to admit, this place is really well cared for. Kudos where it's due.

To keep this from being deleted, price is below (for now) with standardized price for all bikes. Feel free to find a comparable price for condition/rarity etc. As well, price may change after appraising all parts and measurements (it's labour day weekend):
700 USD each
Open to offers and bundling them all for special considerations. Probably a hell of a lot cheaper to ship from Canada as well.

I would be interested in either the white one or the orange one if you find a venue to sell these from. I actually joined the forum just to let you know. A friend sent me the link. nd2
