Weight Weenies Just Move On
Amazon is not the place that I would normally look to for high end bicycle components. But this wheel caught my attention today (see red arrow).

You are probably right about that. Take the weight of the wheels, plus any accessories, plus probably a pair of wheel bags and all packing materials, shipping weight is going to be far more than the actual weight of the wheels

Shipping weight, and with light, bulky things, they actually use a volumetric shipping weight equivalent, since the box takes up space and they price per lb.
