A guy I know rode from Philly to Pitt. I don’t know if admirable or foolish. Looks like he did it all at once, though he could have been a Velo Vol and done it as two rides. Can anyone tell??

And, at 32, you are in your prime for long distance. Or at the edge anyway

Century is almost always doable. Main issues are pacing and eating. Must do both from the start.

Calling for a chance of showers and thunderstorms all day, beginning at 9. The skies are crystal clear. I will be going out shortly, on an apple and banana run.
I have yet to decide which bike. Little, or road. 24 km r/t.

I def. need to plan better, have something more hydrating than water, and a better food source.
I bring a protein bar if I am going longer than 30 miles, and as of now just been using water.
I don’t know how to describe it, but when I start to get tired, it not from my heart rate being too high or my muscles feel fatigued or hurting. I just over all feel zapped, and hungry. I’ve yet to feel like I have to stop I just run out of time.
Ive noticed to that it seems really hard for me to keep my heart rate up even when I am working hard. If I am cranking on a straight away my leg muscles usually tire out before I am out of breath. Not sure if this makes any sense.

But who knows? Right around sundown I might just think the time is right for 51 miles.

Also bananas and/or gels. Gels can keep me going, but after the first one I need something in my stomach. Bananas fill that need. Eat a banana every half hour throughout if you can. The earlier you start eating the better.

I don't even like going 25 miles without food.
Doesn't take much. A mini kind bar or two fig newtons will do. But I gotta have something to gnaw on for a minute.

Golden delicious, the only choice I have. But the ride got nixed. I waited too long and now it's hot and there is rain moving in. Tomorrow
